Forge press with two yoke plates - and bridge plate connected to press cylinder

The forge press has two parallel, horizontal yoke plates (1,5) between which the two form tools (7,8) are located. The upper yoke plate is linked to a bridge plate (6) below the press cylinder (10) by two vertical anchor shafts (3). When the upper yoke plate (5) is held at its top position, the cylinder end plate (9) is detached from the cylinder (10). The cylinder is then lowered by means of two auxiliary cylinders (32, 33) so that the piston (12) protrudes from the cylinder in order to allow easy exchange of the piston seals. USE/ADVANTAGE - Forge press has retractable cylinder tube to provide piston access for easy piston seal replacement.
