PURPOSE:To improve chemical resistance, solvent resistance, liquid crystal resistance, and packaging reliability by adopting the structure consisting in forming an org. high-polymer film in a prescribed pattern on color filters to use the film as a flattening film, removing the flattening film from sealing parts and packaging terminal parts and laminating an inorg. thin film thereon. CONSTITUTION:The color filters 5 are subjected to the flattening treatment with the high-polymer film 6 consisting of a transparent photosensitive polyimide resin so as to cover the filters and the inorg. thin film 7 and a transparent electrode film 8 are laminated thereon; in addition, the transparent org. high- polymer film 6 is not formed at the sealing parts and packaging terminal parts. The combination of the transparent photosensitive org. high-polymer film 6 and the inorg. thin film 7 to cover the color filters 5 in such a manner and the structure in which the org. high-polymer film 6 is removed from the sealing parts and packaging terminal parts are adopted. The flat protective film having the excellent chemical resistance and liquid crystal resistance is formed in this way and the display reliability having good orientation and the packging reliability are obtd. |
