PURPOSE:To arrange a printer and a computer at a distance by using a long connection cable without being influenced by electromagnetic noise and beside, without emitting the electromagnetic noise by optically transmitting a signal after converting it into a serial signal. CONSTITUTION:A data signal is inputted to an input register 2 by a strobe signal from the computer. While data is stored in the input register 2, the edge detecting means 1 of a computer side optical transmission device 3 makes a busy signal to the computer into H level to stop next data transmission. The signal stored in the input register 2 is transferred to a transmitting side time division multiplex modulation circuit 4, and is converted into the serial signal. This serial signal is converted into an optical signal by optical transmission module 5, and is led to a printer side optical transmission device 7 by an optical fiber 6. Thus, the printer and computer can be arranged at distance by using the long connection cable without being influenced by the electromagnetic noise and besides, without emitting the electromagnetic noise. |
