<p>PURPOSE:To prevent abrasion of a transferring rotary body and an image carrier by specifying the carrying speed of a transfer material at a fixing position against the carrying speed of the transfer material at the transfer member. CONSTITUTION:The carrying speed v1 of the transfer material at the transfer part is matched with the revolving speed of a photosensitive body drum 1, and the transfer roller 13 is driven so that the revolving speed at the center of a nip (contacting part) formed between the photosensitive body drum 1 is matched with the revolving speed of the photosensitive body drum 1. When distance between the nip part of a transfer roller 13 and the nip part of the fixing device 10 is made L, the length in the transfer material traveling direction of the transfer material is made l, and the wavy form of the transfer material formed between the nips is approximated to an isosceles triangle, the size of the angle theta contacting with the nip is shown by a formula I, and this angle thetais fixed smaller than 25 degrees. Thus the carrying speed of the fixing device 10 is made slower than the revolving speed of the photosensitive body drum 1 and the transfer roller 13, preventing abrasion of the photosensitive body drum 1 and the transfer roller 13 by the transfer material.</p> |
