The belth has a base web of pref. fibre-reinforced PVC and ribs of e.g. foamed polyurethane secured along the edges of the web. The channel between the ribs is filled with liquid polymer (e.g. polyurethane) which is smoothed by a scraper and subsequently cured to provide an abrasion resistant surface. The method of application ensures good bonding between the abrasion resistant surface and base web. |
