PURPOSE:To obtain a very small connector by providing two poles ie. a signal cable and an earth cable or minus signal cable in series on the respective upper and lower sides of a bar-shaped plug, and providing on the side of a socket upper and lower connecting terminals which make contact with respective two poles of the plug. CONSTITUTION:A connector comprises a plug 11 and a socket 12, and the plug 11 has a hollow frame body 13 made of metal, and the frame body 13 comprises a large diameter portion 14 and a small diameter portion 15 which are formed integrally with each other. A shield cable C has a signal cable C1 at its center, and an insulating material C2 is provided around the cable C1, and a network shield conductor C3 is wound around the insulating material C2, and the signal cable C1 is inserted into the recessed portion 18 of a terminal bar 17. The socket 12 has a conductive frame body 20, and two leg pieces 21, 21 are formed integrally with the lower portion of the frame body 20. An elastic first contact 22 of beryllium steel and the like is pressed against the upper side of the inner face of the frame body 20, and a sleeve 26 made of an electric conductor is fitted over the lower side of the inner face of the frame body 20 via an insulator 25, and the signal cable C1 is connected to the sleeve 26 via the terminal bar 17 of the plug 11 and a second contact 30 provided on the side of the socket 12. |
