PURPOSE:To restrain differential pressure between anode and cathode to within permissible values and also perform safe and efficient operation of the power generating plant stated in the title by providing between a catalyst burner and an anode exit a first pipeline equipped with a first switching means, and providing between a cathode exit and a reformer burning portion a second pipeline equipped with a second switching means, and besides providing a differential pressure measuring means and a control means. CONSTITUTION:In the case of a sudden load increase, pressure is raised within an anode 2 while pressure is dropped within a cathode 3. The differential pressure between a cathode exit and an anode exit is measured by a differential pressure gauge 30 and is transmitted to a controller 40. The controller 40 transmits a signal to open a first control valve 13 when the above differential pressure is increased to more than a set value. Anode gas which is converted to high pressure when the control valve 1 is opened is forced to flow through a first pipeline 12 into a catalyst burner 11. In the case of a sudden load decrease, pressure is decreased within the anode while pressure is raised within the cathode. In this case, the controller 40 transmits a signal to open a second control valve 15 when cathode pressure increases anode pressure to more than a set value. The cathode gas converted to high pressure when the control valve 15 is opened is forced to flow through a second pipeline 14 into a reformer 4 burning portion 5. |
