PURPOSE:To form an organic electrolyte battery of high capacity by using as electrodes moldings of insoluble and infusible basic powder containing polyacene type skeleton structure. CONSTITUTION:Moldings of insoluble and infusible basic powder containing polyacene type skeleton structure are used as electrodes. A complex body of phenol resin and zinc chloride is prepared by an initial condensate aqueous solution of phenol resin and an aqueous solution of zinc chloride. The above materials are forcibly stirred and mixed together without sufficient cooling, and heat generated by the mixing is used to advance their condensate reaction, and also they are converted into micro powders by forcible stirring so as to form a powdered complex body. The powdered comlex body of phenol resin and zinc chloride obtained is heated in nonoxidizing atmosphere at temperatures from 400 to 800 deg.C to form polyacene skeleton structure. The polyacene skeleton structure has a specific surface value of at least 1500m<2>/g by BET method, and also has the atomic ratio of hydrogen atom to carbon atom from 0.5 to 0.05. |
