<p>PURPOSE:To keep a peak temperature of each heating element constant to perform an accurate electric conduction control to each heating element in accordance with the conduction state of the heating element by a method wherein heating elements are divided into a plurality of blocks, and an electric conduction energy is incrementally/decrementally corrected for every two or more blocks and for every upper block. CONSTITUTION:Incremental/decremental correction data from correction arithmetic devices 12a, 12b, 12c based on the number of conduction dots of heating elements 6, 6... in blocks 10a, 10b, 10c counted by a small-block dot counter 11a, a medium-block dot counter 11b, and a large-block dot counter 11c is inputted to every conduction time controller 9. When the total number of conduction dots to the heating elements 6 to be controlled in the printing of a previous line is large, the incremental/decremental correction data decreases an electric conduction time; when the total number of conduction dots is small, it increases an electric conduction time. In this manner, a peak temperature of each heating element can be kept constant, and an electric conduction can be applied to each heating element with a proper electric conduction energy.</p> |
