PURPOSE: To protect the finished surface of a sanitary fixture against damage during installation and construction at an installation site by a method wherein prior to delivering the sanitary fixture to the installation site, applied to the surface of the sanitary fixture is a protective covering having a geometry which generally conforms to the geometry of the finished surface of the sanitary fixture and which has a construction to provide cushioning against and absorb impact of objects coming into immediate contact with any portion of the finished surface. CONSTITUTION: A dropped water protector 4 for a protector assembly 3 and deck and apron protector 5 forms a protective surface similar to the geometry of the finished surface of a bath tab 1. When the protector 5 is fitted into the upper portion of the deck and apron of the bath tab and the dropped water protector 4, into a water reserving portion of the bath tab 1, an adhesive is coated with the entire finished surface of the bath tab 1 after a slight pressure is applied to the dropped water protector 4 at a position corresponding to the position applicable to the protector 5. This enables protection of the finished surface of a sanitary fixture during installation and construction at an installation site. |
