PURPOSE:To form a wick lifting device of a liquid fuel burner at low cost with simple structure by a method wherein the major parts of a mechanism to vertically lift wick and of a mechanism to finely adjust the exposed length of wick for adjustment of combustion rate are made to be commonly used. CONSTITUTION:A common lever 47 for wick lifting and wick adjustment, which turns a wick adjusting shaft 7 to raise and lower a fuel suction wick clockwise and counterclockwise while turning said wick adjusting shaft 7 clockwise by a certain fixed angle when said wick is raised, is provided. Further, an oscillating plate 40, which turns clockwise so as to stop the common lever 47 for wick lifting and wick adjustment at a wick-lifted posture 47B by interlocking with the lever 47 when the wick is raised and turns counterclockwise the wick adjusting shaft 7 by the certain fixed angle by the counterclockwise turning of the plate 40 for lowering the wick, and a loose connecting means A, which allows a loose movement between the common lever 47 for wick lifting and wick adjustment and the oscillating plate 40 within the range for fine adjustment of the wick, are provided. By the structure as mentioned above, the major parts of a mechanism to perform a wick-lifting operation and of a mechanism to finely adjust the exposed length of the wick for adjustment of combustion rate are made to be commonly used and the simplification of structure can be resulted. |
