PURPOSE:To permit upper and lower cushioning material to be fixed to a specific position in an outer case by a method wherein a medium cushioning material is divided into a lower cushioning material and an upper cushioning material, the lower cushionings are fixed to flaps at the bottom of an outer case and the recess part of the lower cushioning material and the projecting part of the upper cushioning material are engaged. CONSTITUTION:A medium cushioning material is divided into a lower cushioning material 2 and an upper cushioning material 3. The lower cushioning material 2 is provided with fixing grooves 2a for engaging with raised parts 1b formed at the forward end of a flap 1a at a bottom part and recesses 2b for fixing the upper cushioning material 3 and the upper cushioning material 3 is provided with projecting parts 3a for engaging with the recesses 2b of the lower cushioning material 2 and a groove 3b for receiving a product base 7. A packaging device is made up by abutting engagement of flaps 1a, 1c and 1d at a bottom part of an outer case 1. This permits the lower cushioning material 2 to be positioned securely at a specific location in the outer case 1 and, when the application of the cushioning material is made to the medium part of a product, avoided at a weak part thereof or made to the center of gravity thereof, the operation can be performed easily. |
