TRANSFERRED IMAGE FORMING METHOD

PURPOSE:To allow the formation of a transferred image by which the transferred image of either of a negative type or positive type is obtainable without requiring a high-temp. heating by forming the image on a prescribed photosensitive material by the exposing and developing to be changed in the form under the same original, then obtaining the transferred image. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive material having the following (A) to (E) on a release type processing base is constituted by exposing this material under the positive type original to the extent that the exposed region becomes soluble in an aq. alkaline developing soln. but it still not insolubilized even by crosslinking or polymerizing the following compd. (E), then washing away the exposed region in the aq. alkaline developing soln, to form the colored image and transferring only the colored image to a material to be transferred to obtain the transferred image. A is a coloring agent; B is a compd. having a prescribed C-O-C bond which allows the prescribed acid cleavage; C is a binder which is insoluble in water but is soluble in an aq. alkaline soln.; E is a compd. having the olefinic double bonds to allow the prescribed polymn. or photocrosslinking. The positive type transferred image is obtd. from the positive type original in this way.
