Device which, located in a straight portion of the chain for filling the containers or cylinders, takes hold of the latter in pairs by means of a cylindrical body equipped with a pneumatic cylinder of short stroke at an upper end and a head at the lower end, articulated by means of two arms, an upper arm with pneumatic cylinder and another, intermediate arm, which carries out ascending, descending and rotational movements, by means of which it covers, grips and unscrews the cap, in order next to ascend vertically, to pivot obliquely through approximately 45 degree and in synchronization to loosen jaws and expel the cap, pushing it with an extractor needle towards a nozzle which conveys the caps towards the recapping portion after the containers have been filled. <IMAGE>
