PURPOSE: To prevent the mechanically stressed damage of a prosthesis by the method wherein the top portion of a thighbone made of a ceramic material and the metal-made thighbone rod are directly connected between them by a corn-shaped sleeve fitment. CONSTITUTION: The top portion of a thighbone has the diameter of less than 26mm, i.e., 22.22mm, and also has more than 6 deg. of the whole angle in the top portion, and a remarkable rigidity is obtained by preferably using approximately 10 deg. of the angle. The blind concave portion of a corn-shaped base is made possible to work so as to assemble a self-fixing by a corn-shaped sleeve fitment and has a side wall contacting with the wall of the metallic corn shape of a male portion corresponding to the same corn shape. The one end portion of the thighbone rod is implanted into a thighbone, and the corn shape of the male portion is positioned in the other end portion of the thighbone rod, and the corn shape is forcibly inserted into the concave portion of a corn-shaped table, thus directly fixed. The top portion of the thighbone is made of a highly densified sintered zirconia obtained by a spontaneous sintering, therefore, the breaking resistance of the top portion is remarkably exceeded more than 30-35NK which is the limitation of the modules of rupture. |
