PURPOSE:To obtain the subject refrigerator oil which can be used as a substituent of fluorocarbons, keeping excellent properties all over the range of application temperature and showing excellent lubricity by adding a specific phosphate ester to the base oil mainly comprising specific polyether compounds. CONSTITUTION:(A) The base oil which is mainly composed of polyethers of formula I and/or formula II (R<1> through R<5> are H, 1 to 3C alkyl; A<1> to A<3> are polymer chains constituted with 3 to 1,000 units of 2 to 4 C alkylene oxide is combined with usually (B) 0.1 to 5wt.% of phosphate ester of formula III [R<6> is H, 1 to 3C alkyl; K is 1, 2; (R<6>)k is of 3 or less carbon atoms] such as tricredyl phosphate to give the subject refrigerator oil. The oil has good compatibility to 1,1,1,2-tetrafluoroethane. |
