This nail is of the type comprising at least one tubular element 2 intended to be engaged in the medullary canal 3a of the fractured bone 3. It has, at its proximal end 2b, one of the pairs of means of a bayonet-type fixing system comprising two pairs of complementary means, such as a pair of notches 12, diametrally opposed, in the form of bayonets, and a pair of studs 14, diametrally opposed, and each of which can be engaged in one of the abovementioned notches 12. For example, the tubular element 2 of the nail has, at its proximal end 2b, the two diametrally opposed notches 12 in bayonet form. The presence of a bayonet-type fixing means makes it possible to secure, to this end 2b of the tubular element 2, an extraction member provided with the complementary pair of means of the bayonet-type fixing system. In the case where this nail is equipped with anchoring members 6 for the distal end of the tubular element 2 provided with a control rod 4, these means 12 can be used for securing an impacting member and for positioning a plug 13 equipped with the complementary pair 14 of the fixing means. <IMAGE>
