Protection characterised by a single or two-part sheet 14 of a format made from flexible or semi-rigid impermeable material including cut-out or pre-cut recesses 15 to 18 in the said sheet 14 which correspond to the heating zones covered by the cooking vessels as well as, on one of its sides, a flap intended to protect the knobs 23 or other control elements.
