This invention provides coatings on rolls used for embossing polyolefin film-fibril sheets. The coating is comprised of a primer layer formed from an aqueous suspension of polytetrafluoroethylene containing chromic acid and phosphoric acid and a topcoat layer of perfluorinated vinyl ether copolymers of tetrafluorethylene and poly(propyl vinyl ether).
