SURFACE TREATMENT OF SERICITE, SOLID LUBRICATING AGENT OF SERICITE AND LUBRICATING OIL COMPOSITION WHEREIN SOLID LUBRICATING AGENT OF SERICITE IS DISPERSED

摘要

PURPOSE:To improve dispersion stability by adding an alkali earth metal salt in sericite dispersed in water, treating it with an anionic surface active agent, drying it and subjecting it to a specified treatment. CONSTITUTION:A suspension is obtd. by suspending a crystalline sericite (A) with a particle diameter of 2mum or smaller in water (B) and adjusting the pH to 7 to 12, pref. 7 to 10. Then, an alkali earth metal salt (C) (e.g. CaCl2) is added to this suspension to adsorb the component C on the surface of the component A. An anionic surface active agent (D) (e.g. sodium di-2-ethylhexyl sulfosuccinate) in a state of an aq. soln. is added thereto to form an adsorbed film of the component D on the surface of the component A and is dried at 110 to 140 deg.C. Then, a kneading treatment thereof with a nonionic surface active agent (E) (e.g. decaglyceryl heptaoleate) and a carrier oil (F) (e.g. a mineral oil) is performed.
