<p>Depending on the steering direction, a steering sensor generates positive or negative steering signals which are converted in a control system by a logical interlinking of amplifier components with semiconductors into an output signal matched to the desired characteristic for an electric motor. In accordance with the characteristic, the electric motor exerts adjusting forces on the steering rods of a vehicle which, alone or together with the force exerted manually, shift the steering gear. There is a separate signal path for each steering direction, each having the same polarity. This ensures a simple and reliable control system for the steering mechanism.</p> |
