The multiple section table which can use triangular, hexagonal square or rectangular sections, has its sections connected together so that different shapes can be formed. All the sections are held together by peripheral upper and lower flexible bands (11,12). These bands fit inside a rectangular recess round the edge of the sections. The bands pass round pins (20) supported inside the recesses, at the corners of the sections, the corners also forming pivot points and are tensioned by winding round rotary pins (22) retained further inside the recesses.
