摘要 PURPOSE:To readily obtain an alcohol having one C higher than raw material olefin in high reaction speed and high yield by reacting olefins, CO and H2 using a tertiary phosphine-based catalyst comprising cobalt/novel compound having stability and high activity. CONSTITUTION:Olefins such as dodecene, CO and H2 are reacted at 100 to 300 deg.C and under 1 to 500atm pressure, using a principal catalyst composed of cobalt compound such as cobalt octoate and one or both of tertiary phosphine compounds composed of di-n-butyl-3-dimethylaminopropylphosphine, etc., expressed by formula I (R<1> and R<2> are 1 to 12C alkyl; R<3> and R<4> are 1 to 12C alkyl, or alkylene having total C-number of the both is 4 to 5; (n) is 2 to 6) and formula II ((p) and (q) are 2 to 7; with a proviso that either of (p) or (q) may be 0 in a case of two CH are respectively bonded with one H) as co- catalyst (reaction accelerator) and hydroformylated to afford the objective compound.
