PURPOSE:To aim at enhacing the cutting efficiency of a diamond tip saw and as well lengthening the duration life thereof, by previously attaching two mount pieces to a diamond tip so that they are projected from the diamond tip, and by attaching the mount pieces to a saw band by welding or riveting. CONSTITUTION:Two mount pieces 12, 12 are attached to a diamond tip 11 so that they are projected from the diamond tip 11. The mount pieces 12, 12 serve as an intermediate means for attaching the diamond tip 11 to a band 13. The mount pieces 12, 12 are made to bits the band 13 at a desired position thereof, however, it is not necessary that a plurality of mount piece 12, 12 are contacted together side by side as a whole, that is, the mount pieces 12, 12 are laid with a predetermined space therebetween as the occasion demands. The mounting thereof may be made by fastening rivets extending through holes 15 formed by punching, or may be made by welding. |
