PURPOSE: To obtain damping action in every direction through a simple means by forming a damping member as a slider and conforming its inner outline to the outline of a guide rail ranging its most part so as to form a fixed damping gap. CONSTITUTION: A clamping member is formed as a slider 4 to enclose a guide rail 1, and the slider 4 has a fixed surface 7 identical to the fixed surfaces 5, 6 of guide carriages 2, 3 in respect of the guide rail 1, and the inner outline of the slider 4 is conformed to the outline of the guide rail 1 ranging its most part so as to form a damping gap from 0 to 40 μ. Thus about the whole of the rail outline becomes therefore useful for damping to obtain sufficient vibration damping in every direction, and the length of the slider 4 is easy to conform to its request. In addition, the slider 4 can be assembled quite similarly as the guide carriages 2, 3, and the assembly can be extremely simply carried out without specially adjusting the damping gap. |
