A sandblasing installation which uses wet sand, has a pressure vessel (10) to contain the wet --sand. The pressure vessel (10) has a funnel (12) through which sand and water can be poured into the vessel. The pressure vessel (10) has an outlet (16) connected to a pipe (21). This pipe (21) is connected to a flexible hose (18) which is fitted with a nozzle (44) for the jet of wet sand. An air compressor (20) has its outlet pipe (22) connected to the pressure vessel (10) at a point above the water level so that an internal pressure is maintained to drive the sand out through the nozzle (44).
