The lockable pushbutton for the control of a watch includes a movable central part (3) which may be displaced both axially and rotationally. A wing (36) projects from the central button (34), and may fit into either one of two slots formed in a cap shaped cover (4). The two slots are of different depths (41 ,42). One of them ensures the locking of the pushbutton (41) and the other allows the button to operate the mechanism in the watch. Movement is controlled by two springs (51, 52).
