The equipment secures a built washbasin having an elastic seal below the peripheral edge by which it bears against the edge of an opening in the supporting plate. It has a number of fixing devices engaging between the edges, each with an adjusting screw for a claw engaging with the plate edge, and hinging on the basin edge from an inclined position during installation into an upright one centring the basin. The arm (18) on the basin edge on which each device hinges has a locking protrusion (30) engaged by a hook (31) on the device (20) when the basin is lowered into the final position.
