Radar signal processing with improved centre position location - using cellular detection region and summation of vector-pulse height products
摘要
The radar system monitoring region is divided into cells using distance and azimuth angle steps. Following detection of the start of a flat target causing echos in a number of cells, further echos are tested for correspondence and associated with it as appropriate. After the target end is detected the position vector Z of the target centre is determined from the summation of (Zi X ei) divided by the summation of ei for all echo signals with position vector Zi and pulse height ei for the same cell summed over all cells associated with the same target. USE/ADVANTAGE - Achieves improved flat target centre position determination.
