<p>PURPOSE:To record respective programs in desired order by calculating the recording positions of the respective programs on a tape based on the information of recording order and fast forwarding or rewinding the tape to the recording position in advance of reservation recording. CONSTITUTION:When reservation information is inputted, the use quantity of the tape which is required for recording the respective programs is detected by a tape use quantity detection means 4. The residual quantity of the loaded tape is detected by a tape residual quantity detection means 1. A recording position calculation means 5 calculates the position where the respective programs should be recorded on the tape. A control means 6 selects the program according to the reservation information. A comparison means 7 compares the recording start position of the selected program with the residual quantity of the tape and controls a mechanism control means 8. Then, the fast forwarding or the rewinding is executed so as to make the recording start position coincide with the residual quantity of the tape. In such a way, the tape becomes in the state that the reservation recording is waited and the reservation recording is executed when a recording start time comes.</p> |
