<p>PURPOSE: To enhance the facility to secure the maintenance operations by engaging a male thread means with female threads in a cylinder hole to constitute a seal space of a housing, extending a rod from the male thread means beyond the housing, and rotating one member with respect to the other. CONSTITUTION: A housing 1 consisting of a tube 47 and sleeve 48 is installed inside a case 7, and a male thread part of a rod 4 is engaged with threads 3 formed in the cylinder hole in the housing 1, and the non-threaded portion 5 of the rod 4 is extended out of a cover 6 through a packing box 50. Cavities in front of and behind the threads 3 are put in communication by passages 9 and 10 and empty chambers 13 and 14 through holes 11 and 12 and filled with lubricant oil, and hoses 15 and 16 are installed for the air to flow into and out of the chambers 13 and 14. When rotated by a motor, etc., the rod 4 is makes linear motion with respect to the case 7, and capacity changes of the cavities resulting therefrom are absorbed by deformation of the hoses 15 and 16. Thus enhancement of the effectiveness in maintenance operations and the durability are enhanced.</p> |
