发明名称 THERMAL TRANSFER RECORDING MEDIUM
摘要 PURPOSE:To make high density multiple-time printing possible and to enhance running properties and stability by containing a specific polymer, heat-meltable substance and a colorant in the heat-meltable ink layer provided on a film base material as essential components. CONSTITUTION:This recording medium is obtained by preparing ink containing 30 - 60pts.wt. of a polymer whose inorg. value/org. value (I/O value) being the scale of a hydrophilicity/hydrophobicity balance is 0.1 - 0.5, 10 - 40pts.wt. of heat-meltable substance and 30 - 60pts.wt of a colorant as main components and applying said ink to film base material. In this case, when the compounded composition in the ink gets out of the above mentioned regions, various problems such as a lowering of printing density, the generation of background staining, inferiority of running properties, a lowering of multiple-time printability, inferiority of turning into painting material/coating properties appear markedly. Further, when the I/O value of the polymer is below 0.1, said polymer does not function as a dispersant because it has almost no polarity. When the I/O value exceeds 0.5, the polymer is excessively strong in polarity and, therefore, dispersing capacity is deteriorated and a problem is further generated in the running properties of an ink sheet.
