PURPOSE:To prevent small scraps from scattering in a pressure-welding machine by providing chuck means for moving shield ribbon cables, which is cut by cutting blades, by a specific length in opposite directions so that the cut ends of the cables are separated from each other. CONSTITUTION:Upon operation of chucks 31, 32, cables C after being cut are moved by a specific length in opposite directions so that the cut ends thereof are separated from each other. Sheaths 11a are stripped by a specific length from the ends of the cables C, and the cables C are moved such that the end portions of stripped electric wire ends 3a, 8a are slightly left in the sheaths 11a. At this state, two holders 22 is descended at the same time. On the way, strip blades 24 on the upper side and cutting blades 25 at the fore end side are cooperated to cut the electric wire ends 3a, 8a in alignment at a position adjacent to the sheaths 11a. Small scraps 14 produced at this time remain in the sheaths 11a. Therefore, the scraps can be prevented from scattering so as to be removed together with the sheaths 11a. |
