PURPOSE:To obtain the subject knit or woven fabric useful for sports wear or work clothing, etc., having excellent durability, etc., by weaving or knitting specific cellulosic fiber once subjected to twist setting and performing relaxing treatment. CONSTITUTION:Stretch yarn composed of cellulosic fiber, treated with curable compound such as urea-formaldehyde resin and twisted in inverse direction to twist before curing is subjected to steam treatment, etc., and once subjected to twist setting to stabilize twist torque. Then, said stretch yarn is subjected to weaving or knitting, thus subjected to relaxing treatment with dipping in water or hot water in relaxed state without applying tension to both of warp and weft, and further, preferably, cured with a curable compound to afford the aimed knit or woven fabric. |
