In a multiplate friction clutch wherein interengaging clutch plates 31, 32 respectively splined to a driving sleeve 11 and driven cup 33 are clamped between a back plate 28 and a presser plate 27 by supplying pressure liquid to a non- rotatable servo cylinder 16 having a clutch engaging piston 22, a needle roller bearing 38 is interposed between the piston 22 and presser plate 27. Spring washers 35 separate the clutch plates 31, 32 during disengagement. A spring ring 42 having tabs 43, 45 engaging recesses in the cylinder 16 and piston 22 prevent rotation of the piston 22 relative to the cylinder 16. Liquid from the cylinder 16 flows through a small duct 41 in the piston 22 to lubricate the bearing 38.</p> |
