<p>PURPOSE: To easily manufacture a permeation-resistant material having a resistance force to permeation or impregnation to a silicone gel, salts, the air or the like in a medical field by incorporating the step of forming a laminate of three layers by coating layers of a permeation-resistant elastomer and a solvent dispersion of a first solvent on a layer of an unvulcanized silicone elastomer composition. CONSTITUTION: This method forms a three-layer laminate by the steps of coating a substrate with a layer (a) of an unvulcanized thermosetting silicone elastomer composition covalent bonded to a curable silicone elastomer substrate, and then coating it with a layer of a solvent dispersion of a permeation-resistant elastomer selected from the group consisting of a polyurethane, a silicone- polyurethane copolymer and a silicon-polycarbonate copolymer, and the above layer (a) with a first solvent of at least partial solvent for the unvulcanized silicone elastomer composition. The three-layer laminate is heated until the unvulcanized silicone elastomer composition is substantially vulcanized.</p> |
