The tray or box comprises a base with upstanding walls and two reinforcing elements inserted in the box and attached to two opposite facing walls. The opposite ends of each reinforcing element are folded in a dihedral form having two walls. The first wall, extends across the corner of the box between the wall to which the reinforcing element is attached and the adjacent box wall. The second dihedral wall is attached to the adjacent wall.
