PURPOSE:To obtain a microwave discharge light source device not bigger overshooting light output in a fixed stable time than light output at a stationary time with no regard to a condition at a relighting time by performing lighting control of a no-electrode discharge lamp along a program of a preset elapsed time vs microwave output change curve. CONSTITUTION:An output signal to be given to a magnetron driving power supply part 2 is given as analogue voltage from a microcomputor 31 through a D/A signal converter 32. When an AC power supply E is closed, further a lighting signal switch SW turns ON, a microwave is outputted along a curve of the elapsed time vs microwave output memorized by a memory M basing on an ON signal of the switch SW to light a discharge lamp. Lighting at this time is performed according to the program along the curve of the elapsed time vs microwave output provided that the last lighting time is zero and the lights-out time is very long while a tube wall temperature of the discharge lamp is cooled down to the room temperature. Thereby, a stable time is fixed while preventing overshoot. |
