<p>PURPOSE:To obtain an information input/output device which is thin, light in weight, portable and whose power consumption is small by forming a photo- conductive layer by being interposed between a row electrode and a column electrode at an intersecting point between the row electrode and the column electrode constituting a switching means. CONSTITUTION:The photo-conductive layer 2 is formed by providing it between the row electrode 1 and the column electrode 3 at the intersecting point of the row electrode 1 and the column electrode 3 constituting the switching means. When the photo-conductive layer 2 laminated between the row electrode (gate line) 1 and the column electrode (source line) 3, is irradiated with a light beam emitted from a light pen, an electron existing on a valence electrons band in the photo-conductive layer is stimulated by the light beam, an impedance between the gate line 1 and the source line 3 is changed and a leak current is changed. A comparator, etc., compares and amplifies the change of the leak current flowing from the gate 5 to the source 6 and it is taken out as a position information signal. Thus, the information input/output device which is thin, light in weight and portable and whose power consumption is small can be obtained.</p> |
