PURPOSE: To achieve compactness and to increase strength and a service life of a bearing by providing a bolt fixing hole in a flange of an outer ring, and forming the hole to be extended from the contact locating face of the flange obliquely at an acute angle to the bearing axis radially outward. CONSTITUTION: A flange 2 of an outer ring has a contact locating face at the end face, and in the contact locating face 12, to fix the flange 2 to a mating face 15 of an opposite flange of a wheel support 1, a screw hole 14 is provided to be distributed to the circumference in the contact installation surface 2. A bolt 4 is passed through a hole of an opposite flange 16 to be fixed to the screw hole 14 of the flange 2, and the screw hole 14 is generated from the contact locating face 12 to make an acute angle 17 to the bearing axis 18 and extended radially outward to be passed through the flange 2. Accordingly, as each hole 14 is separated axially, it is separated from the shaft center 18 so that each hole 14 can be positioned on a small pitch circle in the contact locating face 12 without lowering the strength of the outer ring. Thus, the bearing can be made in a compact size. |
