DEVICE FOR FERROCHROME SEMICONTINUOUS OR CONTINUOUS DISSOLUTION

The solution concerns the construction of the device for semi-continuous or continuous dissolution of ferrochrome in sulphur acid. The device consists of a storage zone for ferrochrome, a reaction zone, which joins the bottom part of the storage zone. The reaction zones is joined by the circulation circuit, which is formed by a heating element, cooling element and an overflow shoulder, which opens into the reaction zone, while an expansion zone for the foam joins the overflow shoulder and the device forms a closed overpressure system with the outlet of the reaction gases and ferrochrome being dissolved in the sulphur acid. The device further includes a device for maintaining the constant gas overpressure and constant temperature in the reactor and a device for the storing and elimination of the arising reaction gases. The device enables a quicker reaction and limits the contact possibility of auto-inflammable and toxic phosphines with the air.
