PURPOSE:To provide a recording solution having excellent jet stability and storage stability and giving printed images having excellent fastness and printing concentrations by incorporating carbon black, a water-soluble resin, a polyhydric alcohol, an aliphatic monohydric alcohol, water and specific dye. CONSTITUTION:The objective recording solution comprises carbon black, a water-soluble resin, a polyhydric alcohol and/or an alkyl ether thereof (e.g. polyethylene glycol) preferably in an amount of 20-40wt.%, an aliphatic monohydric alcohol (preferably ethyl alcohol) preferably in an amount of 3-15wt.% and water, the amount of the dissolved water-soluble resin being <=2wt.% and a dye of the formula (M is Na, K, Li or ammonium) being added to the solution preferably in an amount of 0.5-2.0wt.%. |
