CONSTITUTION:The output of the second sensor 9 is read into a microcomputer 20, and the optical characteristic (reflection rate) of a copying paper is judged from the output level. Then, the correction time is calculated on the basis of the optical characteristic, and the correction time is stored into a restart timing correction timer. Then, the output of the first sensor 6 is read, and when the level exceeds a threshold level, it is judged that the top edge of the copying paper is detected, and a copying paper detection flag is set to '1', and a resistor clutch 17 is turned-OFF, and a transport roller 7 is stopped. Then, the time on a timer is subtraction-calculated, and when the value becomes zero, the resistor clutch 17 is turned ON, and the transport roller 7 is driven again, and the flag is set to zero.
