// Semi-Permeable Membrane Of Sulphonated Polyarylether Sulphones Solutions of sulphonated polyarylethersulphones in a solvent mixture of at least three liquids which are non-solvents or poor solvents for the polymer, can be used to produce asymmetric semipermeable membranes. The polymer may be a copolymer of ? Ph1 - O - Ph2 - O - Pb1 - SO2 ? and ? Ph1 - O - Ph1 - SO2 - Ph1 - O - Ph2 - SO2 ? wherein Ph1 and Ph2 are respectively unsulphonated and sulphonated phenylene residues. The components of the solvent mixture have spe? bility parameters. Suitable solvent mixtures include ? ?oxane and acetonitrile and also methanol, chloroform and nitromethane.
