PURPOSE:To improve an output efficiency by a method wherein a multitude of radial projections is provided on a stator while small projections are formed on the upper surfaces of respective radial projections. CONSTITUTION:An ultrasonic motor is constituted of a base plate 1, a disc type stator 2, a rotor 3, superposed through a friction material, an output shaft 8, a casing 10 and the like. A multitude of radial projections 4 is provided on the annular surface of the outer periphery of a stator 2, which is contacted with a rotor 3, and, further, a plurality of small projections 5, arranged in the same direction ad the projection 4, is provided on the whole of the upper surfaces of respective projections 4. As a result, a traveling wave with a large amplitude may be applied on the rotor 3. |
