<p>The water-insol. monoazo dyestuffs of the benzthiazole series of formula dyes nylon true red shades fast to ozone, linear polyester orange shades fast to washing, nitrogen oxides, and ozone, and cellulose acetate scarlet shades fast to washing, nitrogen oxides, with commercially acceptable fastness to light. Prepd. by the acid coupling of equimolar amts. of diazotised 5:6-dichloro-2-aminobenzthiazole and N-beta-acetoxyethyl-N-beta-cyanoethylaniline.</p> |
