PURPOSE:To prevent an undesired telegram resident for a long period by informing it to a relevant contracting mail box terminal equipment when a resident time of stored telegrams exceeds a specified time. CONSTITUTION:When a storage request from a terminal equipment to a mail box exists, identification information A is inputted to the box together with a text M to be stored from a relevant terminal equipment. The identification information is sent to a resident telegram control section 2 as a resident time monitor instruction C including a telegram number. A resident time monitor section 3 controls a resident time for each telegram number and sets a counter for the resident with the instruction C. Then a timer 4 counts down the counter and transfers a resident time over report D to the mail box 1 when the count reaches zero. The mail box 1 outputs a telegram resident notice to the terminal equipment. |
