PURPOSE:To remarkably reduce power consumption and to prolong the panel life, by inverting the polarity of a voltage applied to a liquid crystal with mechanical operation of a power switch, simply and surely and further without visual disturbance. CONSTITUTION:When terminals 12 and 13 are connected through the turning on of a power switch 1, an output of a T-FF3 and level of Q and Q' are inverted. A video signal applied to an input terminal 11 is outputted in phase with an amplifier 4 or outputted at an amplifier invertingly, and they are respectively applied to a horizontal drive circuit 8 of a liquid crystal panel 10 via a TG6 (transmission gate) or a TG7. Since the TGs 6 and 7 are conductive at the high level of the outputs Q and Q' of the T-FF3, a positive or negative voltage can alternately be applied to the liquid crystal of the panel 10 through the repetition of turning on of the power switch 1. |
