PURPOSE:To obtain the recording display device which exhibits excellent display characteristics and high stability by providing a diffusion reflecting layer formed by dispersing reflecting fine particles into a resin essentially composed of at least polyamide as an image holding member. CONSTITUTION:The diffusion reflecting layer 2 and the dielectric layer 3 are laminated on one surface of a conductive base 1. The reflecting layer 2 is improved in the dispersion of the reflecting fine particles by dispersing the reflective fine particles into the polyamide and, therefore, the ruggedness existing on the surface of the reflecting layer is decreased. Since the distribution uniformity of the reflective fine particles and the polyamide is improved, the electrical uniformity is improved and the light reflection is uniformized. The whiteness is thus improved. In addition, the volume resistivity of the polyamide is as low as 10<12-14>OMEGA.cm and, therefore, the removal of the impressed voltage used for the recording is uniformly executed with good efficiency. The previous history is thereby easily erased and the memory is eventually decreased. An improvement in image quality is thus resulted. |
