PURPOSE: To allow a user to increase the residual number of times of a card by an automatic vending machine by incorporating a microcomputer in a prepaid card to increase the number of times and to charge control information recorded in the card. CONSTITUTION: This chip card incorporates a prescribed microcomputer. The increase of the residual number of times is selected by a key 4, the card is thrown into a card feeding/reading part 5 and a necessary number of coins are thrown into a throw-in port 7. Thereby the residual number of times can be increased from a prescribed number to another prescribed number. In addition, at the time of selecting the storage of merchandise by means of the key 4, inserting the card and select-purchasing merchandise by means of a touch board 2, the merchandise is stored in the card. Consequently selecting operation from the next is unnecessitated. In addition it is possible to purchase merchandise except for the merchandise stored in the card by depressing the touch board 2 after inserting the card. In this case the difference between the merchandise is automatically reset and stored in the card. |
